Privacy Policy — Pushy (Push-Ups Alarm)
Effective date: September 27, 2025 · Developer: Iuri (solo developer) · Contact: iuri.jorbenadze@gmail.com
Pushy is a simple alarm app that asks you to do a short set of push-ups to dismiss the alarm. This policy explains what the app does—and, just as importantly, what it does not do—with your data.
1) What we collect (short version)
- No account, no server, no tracking. We do not run our own backend and do not profile you.
- On-device only. Alarm settings and preferences are stored locally on your device.
- Camera is used live only. The camera is used to count push-ups on-device. No photos/videos are stored or uploaded.
If this changes in the future, we will update this policy before any new data practice takes effect.
2) Data we store locally on your device
To make Pushy work, we save small pieces of data in your device’s app storage (e.g., system preferences/“SharedPreferences”):
- Alarm times, days, labels and whether an alarm is enabled
- Required push-up count to dismiss
- Sound, volume, vibration and channel settings
- UI preferences (e.g., your preferred time-picker style)
Retention: These stay on your device until you delete them in-app or uninstall Pushy.
3) Camera usage (push-up counting)
- Pushy uses the camera only while the alarm screen is active to count push-ups.
- Detection is performed on-device.
- No images or videos are recorded, saved, or transmitted by Pushy.
- You can revoke camera permission at any time in your system settings (the push-up dismiss feature will not work without it).
4) Notifications & alarms
To ensure alarms ring reliably:
- The app requests notification/alert permissions.
- On Android, it may request special capabilities (e.g., schedule exact alarms, run after device boot, show a ringing notification channel).
- These permissions exist solely to deliver alarms at the times you set.
5) Optional features & third-party services
Pushy may interact with your device or external services for convenience:
- In-app review prompts (e.g., Google Play / App Store) — the review UI and any data are handled by the store provider under their policies.
- Opening links (e.g., a donation page) — your browser or payment provider’s privacy policy applies.
- System plugins/libraries used for core app functions (e.g., notifications, permissions, wake lock). Pushy does not send your personal data to these libraries beyond what’s required to perform the action on-device.
Pushy does not include ads, analytics SDKs, or fingerprinting.
6) Children’s privacy
Pushy is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us and we’ll assist with removal.
7) Your choices & controls
- Permissions: You can grant/deny camera and notification permissions at any time in device settings.
- Local data: You can edit or delete alarms and preferences, or uninstall the app to remove local data.
- Support email: If you email us, we’ll receive the contents of your message and reply address. We use it only to respond, and you can request deletion of that correspondence.
8) Security
We rely on the operating system’s app sandbox and protections. While no system is perfectly secure, we design Pushy so that sensitive features (like the camera) are used temporarily and on-device, and we avoid collecting server-side data.
9) International users
Because Pushy does not maintain a backend, your app data remains on your device. If you visit external links (e.g., donations), those sites’ locations and policies apply.
10) Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected with a new effective date. For questions or requests, email iuri.jorbenadze@gmail.com.

Profiles & Leaderboards (Planned — Not Active Yet)
Status: This feature is not available today. Pushy currently has no accounts, no server, and no cloud storage.
We may introduce optional profiles to track progress and join leaderboards in a future version. If we launch this, it will be opt-in and accompanied by an updated Privacy Policy and in-app consent.
If/when launched, the feature may collect:
- Account info: display name/username, email (for login/support), optional avatar.
- Progress data: alarm times, completion streaks, push-up counts, badges, and leaderboard rank.
- Device & security data: basic device/app info for fraud prevention and session security.
- Social elements (optional): friends list, reactions, or profile visibility settings.
Purpose: provide personal stats, restore progress across devices, enable leaderboards, and keep the service secure.
Your choices & rights (will apply at launch):
- Use the app without an account (local-only mode remains available).
- Opt in/out anytime; delete your account and data from within the app.
- Export a copy of your data upon request.
- Control profile visibility and social settings.
Data sharing: If we use trusted processors (e.g., auth, hosting, analytics strictly for service quality), we will list them and sign appropriate data-processing agreements.
Security & retention: We will use industry-standard protections. Data will be retained only as long as needed for the feature or until you delete it.
We will update this policy and obtain consent before enabling any cloud features.
